the road. redskins. it was not a good day. no, it wasn't. you can see them putting the tarp down on the field before this afternoon's redskins game against the chiefs and you probably heard by now they lost. probablyam right now has something over their heads after today's miserable loss. the big thing that many were concerned about, you have a game there. it was not a blackout game, but you had thousands of people who were in the stands and you have the weather situation that was really critical. let's find out from kevin lewis, who was there throughout the day here yet he can tell us whether or not fans were able to get out smoothly. kevin? we will get to that in the second. i want to show you this umbrella we had over our news camera protecting it from the elements all day. we wanted to show you the icicles. what we were not expecting was the sheer weight. this is 10 pounds. all the water that normally flows off as accumulated. this just breaks off. it is kind of knots -- nuts. . will show you one more thing this was a snowball we made earlier in the day. it was nice and fun t

game losing streak. the redskins looked like they really wanted no part of the weather elements or competing. kansas city threaded washington especially on special teams nearly 300 yards on kick returns. the redskins had no answer for dexter mccluster who accounted for 177 return yards and the tackling efforts were just bad. the frustration is getting to the team and any glimmer of hope is quickly disappearing. >> we can't keep going out there and not getting it right and then come up here and say hey, we got to get it right. i know it gets old, but something has to change and we need to get it right. >> they [ bleep ] us man and it was embarrassing. can't say nothing about the performance because we stunk, but all we can do is keep working, got to go to work next week. >> we didn't play well. we got to more so just step up and make plays, you know. i was just upset, wasn't nobody to blame, just got everybody got to be accountable, got to make plays. >> we come out here and lose and especially all the time we put in, kind of seem like the effort is in vain, just can't find a way

the score on and off the field. >> it is one of the days for the redskins, not a good day all around. you can't blame the weather for redskins fans not wanting to stick around today but you can blame the team's performance. head coach mike shanahan said after the game he needed to do a better job getting the guys ready. adverse conditions at fed ex field for robert griffin iii. we start in the first quarter, skins down 10-0. rg 3 intercepted by derek johnson. he returns it 40 yards down to the skins 35 yard line. griffin's 12th interception of the year. kansas city cashes in. and into the end zone. kc takes a 17-0 lead. it did get worse, unfortunately. special teams have been a problem all year for the skins. dexter mccluster dangerous return man. you can see why here. 74 yards for the score. that gave kansas city a 31-0 lead. there was a bright spot in the first half for the skins, rg 3 with over a minute to go. griffin finds his tight end at the back of the end zone. nice catch there. nice job. still down 31-7. ensuing kickoff. >> ridiculous. >> you can say that again. >> goes to the ho
